Payment Terms, Cancellation & Refund Policy

  1. Deposits are non-refundable, except in the case of an enrolment application not being approved, or course cancellation by the Ground Up Psychotherapy Institute (Ground Up).
  2. If your application is not approved, you will receive a full refund of fees paid, including deposit.
  3. If the event is cancelled by Ground Up, you will receive a full refund of fees paid, inclding deposit.
  4. If you withdraw from the course more than 60 days prior to the course commencement, course fees paid (not including non-refundable deposit) will be refunded .
  5. If you withdraw from the course less than 60 days and more than 5 days prior to the course commencement, a you will receive a refund of 50% of registration fees.
  6. If you withdraw from the course less than 5 days prior to commencement, all fees paid are non-refundable and non-cancellable.
  7. In circumstances such as illness or personal difficulty, payment may be deferred to participation in the event at a later date, within 1 year, and if the event is offered in the future. There is no guarantee that the event will be offered again at a future time.
    1. Requests for such transfer of payment are to be made in writing to Ground Up, and decisions are subject to the discretion of Ground Up.    
    2. Irrespective of acceptance of deferral, if a participant is absent from in-person training days for more than 12 months, enrolment fees expire and re-application is required.
  8. You may transfer your registration fees to another person (a transferee) at no cost. The transferee must meet any pre-requisites for the course and you must notify Ground Up in writing prior to the course commencement or event date.
  9. Course dates, details and locations subject to change. 
  10. Ground Up reserves the right to cancel any course, event, workshop or retreat due to extenuating circumstances. In the unlikely event that this occurs, a full refund of registration fees paid (including deposit) will be returned to the participant. However, no responsibility will be accepted for any consequential loss in any circumstances. Where applicable, adequate TRAVEL INSURANCE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Terms and Conditions of Course Participation

  1. I certify that my level of physical and psychological health as determined by myself, or my medical doctor, will allow me to safely participate in this course.
  2. I accept full responsibility for my health and well-being, and I release the Ground Up Psychotherapy Institute Pty Ltd and all associated facilitators, lecturers, assistants and affiliated agencies from responsibility or any claim against them for any injury or loss sustained by me during or as a result of participation in this course.
  3. I agree that I may not record the training course or parts therein in any way without the express consent of Directors of Ground Up, or other person nominated by a Director. Any recordings and course materials will be for my own personal study purposes, and will not be shared with others in any way, without express written consent of the Directors of Ground Up Institute, or other person nominated by the Directors.

  5.  Participants agree to conduct themselves in a professional, honest, courteous, and respectful manner, towards one another, faculty & staff, as well as the course requirements. ​​​​​​​
    1. Behaviours that are not in accordance with these values,  may result in ineligibility for a certificate, or even suspension or expulsion from the course, at the discretion of the Directors of Ground Up.
    2. Payment of fees does not guarantee receipt of a certificate of course completion.
  6. Objections and grievances are to be raised with the faculty of Ground Up at the outset, and may be initially communicated verbally.
  7. The Directors of Ground Up will endeavour to resolve all objections in a mediated fashion for the benefits of all parties.  Students wishing to escalate complaints must do so in writing to the attention of the Directors of Ground Up
