Psychedelic Informed Psychotherapy (PIP) Training

This training has emerged in response to the ground swell of every day people who are turning towards Plant Medicines and Psychedelics as a way to know and heal themselves, along with the growing need and interest amongst Mental Health Practitioners who are supporting clients through the psychological and emotional aspects of their psychedelic medicine experiences. If you are one of these mental health practitioners, this training will be of immense value to you, and your clients.

 

 

Who is this training for?

This training is for Mental Health practitioners interested in the field of Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy (PAP), as well as practitioners who are already working in the field and looking to develop their skills and orientation, and practitioners who may feel that the training they have previously received is in some way limited or incomplete. 

The training is for Mental Health Practitioners who are

  • Helping clients prepare, integrate and deepen the healing initiated through psychedelic medicine experiences.
  • Currently working in the field of Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy and are looking to advance their skills and understanding of working with Psychedelic Medicines.
  • Looking to broaden their understanding of and better support the healing movements of Psychedelic Medicines.
  • Helping clients repair, integrate and heal after a difficult or even traumatic experience with Psychedelic medicines.
  • In some instances, this training is also suitable for those in training to become Mental Health Practitioners.

The Training includes two (2) modules. Each module is experiential and practical with a strong focus on applying, embodying, and assimilating the skills and lenses taught.

Bridging the Triad of Therapist, Client and Medicine

Supports therapist to guide clients deeply into their felt experience, both in Psychotherapy and Non ordinary experiences, as the pathway to deeper, more fundamental insights and subsequent change.

TRAINING DETAILS

This training is primarily for mental health professionals who have clients or patients seeking support for preparation 

and integration of psychedelic experiences. 

This includes qualified practitioners already engaged in Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy (PAP), offering an opportunity to further align their approach to the healing movements that come from the psychedelic medicines themselves.

Important Regulatory Information

In Australia, Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy (PAP) is legal only in specific circumstances. It requires a formal diagnosis and referral from an authorised psychiatrist, and must be delivered by accredited Clinical Psychologists in accordance with national regulations.

This program is not a medical training. It does not provide instruction in psychedelic medicine dosing, nor does it certify participants to conduct PAP. Ground Up Psychotherapy does not endorse or support any illegal practices.

The purpose of this training is the development of knowledge and therapeutic skill for mental health professionals working in this evolving field. It offers a psychological and relational approach that is complementary to accredited PAP training programs. Our focus is on therapeutic orientation, preparation, integration, and psychotherapeutic understanding.
