Ground Up Psychotherapy
Psychedelic Informed Psychotherapy (PIP) Training
Psychedelic Informed Psychotherapy (PIP) is an experiential training for mental health practitioners seeking to support clients through psychedelic preparation, psychedelic integration, and the psychological complexities that can emerge before, during, and after psychedelic medicine experiences.
Designed for therapists, counsellors, psychologists, and helping professionals, this training develops practical skills in preparation, integration, embodied presence, relational attunement, and working directly with the healing movements that emerge through psilocybin, MDMA, ayahuasca, and other plant medicine experiences.
While traditional Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy (PAP) training often focuses on clinical protocols, PIP helps practitioners develop the deeper relational and experiential capacities required to support the broader reality of psychedelic healing work.
This training is designed for mental health practitioners who are:
- supporting clients through psychedelic preparation and psychedelic integration
- currently working in Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies-style Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy (PAP) models and looking to deepen their relational and experiential skillset
- seeking to better understand and support the healing movements that emerge through psychedelic medicine experiences
- helping clients repair, process, and integrate difficult or overwhelming psychedelic experiences
- looking to expand their clinical practice into the growing field of psychedelic therapy support
In some instances, this training may also be suitable for those currently training to become mental health practitioners.
The training includes two modules with a strong focus on practical application, embodiment, and integrating the skills and frameworks taught..

This program is not a medical training. It does not provide instruction in psychedelic medicine dosing, nor does it certify participants to conduct PAP. Ground Up Psychotherapy does not endorse or support any illegal practices.
The purpose of this training is the development of knowledge and therapeutic skill for mental health professionals working in this evolving field. It offers a psychological and relational approach that is complementary to accredited PAP training programs.
