Module 1
What past participants shared about their experience of Module 1.....
“Meeting you and sitting your course was one of the best things to come out of 2024, I am so deeply grateful.” Laura J. (Somatic Therapist)
“This is by far the one of the best training courses that I have ever done (and I have done a lot!!!). I love how the space was held by both facilitators, which also allowed us to learn from each other”
“Excellent content and very engaging!”
“Outstanding! If I had expectations, they would have gone above and beyond, and I sit is absolute fulfilment. Paced beautifully. Smooth transitions across topics. Both facilitators were magnificent”
” I found the training incredible! Exactly what I was wanting. Affirming that instinct and intuition with clients has real value”
“I had no idea of what to expect. It lived up to the name Ground Up ~ all very grounded and expansive. I loved it all, and am looking forward to Module 2!”
Bridging the Triad of Therapist, Client and Medicine
The most effective way to be of service to a client using Psychedelic medicines as part of their healing journey is through knowing, and being of service to, the healing movements brought forward by Psychedelic experiences.
In module 1 you will learn to realigning your psychotherapeutic approach to both match and support the healing movements of the psychedelic experience; thus reorienting Mental Health practitioners from a top down (thinking) orientation to a bottom up (felt) orientation.
The macro learning outcome is the realigning of psychotherapeutic approach to match and support the Characteristics of the psychedelic experience; thus reorienting Mental Health practitioners from a top down (thinking) orientation to a bottom up (felt) orientation.
To achieve this the learner will be engaged in 2 distinct directions.
- Learning and applying psychotherapeutic skills and approaches, direct relational experiences, and psychotherapeutic lenses that support clients to engage via a bottom up, feeling orientation, whilst staying in direct relationship with their own experience and the therapist.
- To support the therapist themselves to become more Felt lead, Bottom up, present and in relationship with themselves; and through this to attune more deeply with their clients.
Reorienting ones Psychotherapeutic approach in line with the healing movements of Psychedelic medicines powerfully supports clients to better assimilate their non ordinary experiences.
Being problem focused, cognitive, analytical and “client lead” are important and useful approaches in conventional Psychotherapy, although these largely Top-down approaches are insufficient when guiding clients through many or most forms of Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy.
Linking Learning Outcomes to the Healing movements of Psychedelic Medicine:
Psychedelic experiences are a sensation lead experience, as opposed to thinking about, analysing or solving.
Learn how to
- Naturally attune to the amplified therapeutic process through Refining your awareness and Interpretation of your own somatic/sensory information.
- Build trust and skill in using this sensory information to inform the therapeutic relationship.
- Support clients to attune to, face, respond to, and make meaning of their own felt experiences.
Psychedelic experiences deepen states of presence and bring us to what is here and now.
Learn how to
- Deepen your connection with, and respond to, what is happening here and now; in yourself, with your client and in the therapeutic relationship, across all phases of your Psychotherapeutic journey.
Psychedelics evoke new and novel experiences which lead to change and healing.
Learn how to
- Reinforce positive change via facilitating clients experimentation of what’s new and novel, rather than only “unpacking “and talking about what’s new.
- Identify when clients’ developmental interruptions are shifting; and learn how to amplify these shifts into meaningful change.
Psychedelic experiences move people out of thinking about themselves and into direct relationship and experience of themselves.
Learn how to
- Guide clients into relatedness with previously lost essential aspects of self.
- Reorient clients from “talking about” issues and feelings, into “being with issues and feelings”.
- Direct clients into relatedness with arisen content from their Non ordinary experiences.
- Interrupt clients out of analysis and avoidance and into felt relationship with what emerges for them.
Psychedelic experiences bring direct awareness to epigenetic and ancestral traumas and entanglements.
Learn how to
- Identify problematic patterns stemming from intergenerational influences, prior to clients facing Non ordinary experiences, whilst facilitating resolution to these intergenerational patterns.
- Learn how to guide clients into contained somatic contact with intergenerational traumas, whilst facilitating and supporting deep resolution.
Psychedelic experiences bring awareness to epigenetic and ancestral traumas and entanglements.
Learn how to
- Identify where current problematic patterns stem from intergenerational influences prior to Non ordinary experiences
- And facilitate deep somatic resolution to these ancestral entanglements as part of the preparation process.
- Learn how to guide clients into clear somatic contact with the intergenerational traumas they hold, whilst facilitating resolution through relatedness to these traumas and entanglements.
- Guide clients to resolution when direct ancestral experiences emerge whilst in Non-Ordinary states.
- Engaging with clients past their problems and sculpting meaning in their experience of wellness
Psychedelic experiences are profoundly influenced by the set and setting of each encounter.
- Decrease the likelihood of difficult experiences through reconciling ancestral entanglements.
- Expand your understanding of Set and setting to allow deepest orders of healing and change for clients.
- Attend to the clients “emotional Heavy lifting “prior to a Psychedelic experience, rather than the client facing all the “heavy emotional lifting “within their psychedelic experiences.
Also learn how to
- Integrate your own psychotherapeutic approach to these ground up approaches to formulate a robust Preparation and integration process for clients undertaking Psychedelic medicines as part of their healing and psychotherapeutic process.
- Learn How to deepen the healing potential of client’s Psychedelic experiences through navigating and resolving client’s developmental interruptions and defences throughout all stages of treatment.
